And it's not as if we aren't getting an entire crossover predicated on that concept in a couple months. But to be fair, it's entirely possible that formula would grow repetitive very quickly. "Welcome to Hong Kong" is a relatively underwhelming followup to "Starling City." It's a shame the season couldn't run with the idea of Ollie hopping to parallel Earths and meeting alternate versions of familiar characters a little longer. Well, I suppose you could follow up with another multiverse crossover involving Michael Keaton's Batman or something, but let's not get too crazy. Once you kick off a season by sending Oliver Queen to a parallel universe where he's confronted by his dead loved ones in the flesh, there's nowhere to go but down. It was probably inevitable that the second episode of Arrow's final season wouldn't live up to the first.
